1. Paul Harvey "Rest of the Story..." Video
This was the final part of a multistage project for my methods classes ECI 430/435. The project began with our historical inquiry paper, we were asked to come up with a historical question and research it using primary documents. The next stage of this project game as we had to transition our history paper into a Paul Harvey style ironic story. The final stage was to then transform our story into a video. I utelized Windows Movie Maker integraiting video clips, photos, narration, and music.
I have had to make several different videos this semester (fall '14) and this is probably by far my best attemp.
2. Kahoot.com "Isolation to Global War" Quiz
This quiz was created as part of my WWII Unit Plan that I will teach during my student teaching next semester (spring '15). The questions were taken from the America: A Narrative Hisotry by Tindall and Shi study guide. Kahoot.com is a take on the classroom response cards or "clickers". Students are given a code for the quiz and type it into their phones or other device and are able to participate in the quiz.
I think Kahoot.com provides a fun and interactive way for students to be assessed. I think this mixes up the traditional assessment model. This shows my ability to integrate fun and creative technology tools to inrich my teaching.
